Plymouth Dance collaborates with City Partners to deliver Public Events within Plymouth.

Our most recent event was our Reignite Youth Dance Platform. Plymouth Dance launched a new youth dance event in April 2025 in partnership with The University of Plymouth! 

Reignite Youth Dance Platform was a SOLD OUT vibrant evening, showcasing 110 youth dancers from across the South West peninsula (Cornwall, Plymouth and Devon). The evening celebrated young people’s talent, hard work, determination and resilience. The evening displayed a variety of show stopping performances from 11 youth companies presenting a range of dance styles. A big thank you to Kadus Simeon Smith from Rhythm City Dance Studio for providing our workshop in the day.

Last year’s Public Events were Tea Dance with a Twist! The RESPECT/Kite Festival and The West End Carnival Parade.

For our Public Events Plymouth Dance has partnered with Flavour Fest, Dingles Plymouth, House of Fraser, Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council, Clever Cow Consultancy, Plymouth City Centre Company, Respect Festival, Sounds by Jozzy, Plymouth Music Zone, Rhythm City Dance Studio, Visit Plymouth, Elements, Plymouth Kaboom, Devon and Cornwall Police, Plymouth Culture, Take A Part, West End Plymouth, The Box Plymouth, University of Plymouth, Plymouth Libraries, Plymouth Market and Plymouth City Bus.
